Stepladder Plus

If you are aged 15 to 17 and are currently in care AND have been in care for 12 months or more without any breaks, you can apply for Stepladder PLUS. 

Stepladder PLUS offers safe, online learning about managing your money and planning your future. It has six Steps for you to work through. And it’s free for you to use!

If you’re eligible for Stepladder PLUS, you earn money for each step you complete. This is paid into your Junior ISA or Child Trust Fund.

1. Reading and writing in everyday life (£75)
2. Using numbers in everyday life (£75)
3. Making my money work (£100)
4. Plans for my Future – 250 words on what you want to do (£125)
5. Managing my money (£175)
6. Putting my Plans into action – a mentor will help you with education, training or finding a job!! (£200)
